Commercial Nuclear Energy

DNES has been committed to supporting the Nuclear Power Generation industry for over 40 years. We are active throughout the life cycle of a nuclear reactor, from construction to maintenance and retrofit. Our company has grown and added services by listening to our customers and understanding their unique requirements.

There is no other company in the industry with the breadth of services Dubose NES offers. In an emergency situation, our 24/7 on-call service can handle most requests entirely in-house. This eliminates time delays inherent in working with multiple vendors.

Decommissioning and Radwaste Cleanup

Nuclear Power Plants:

Most commercial Nuclear Power Plants currently operating in the United States were designed for a plant life of 30 to 40 years by the USNRC. The average age of commercial reactors in the United States is now about 35 years. Many plants are coming to an end of their licensing period. If their licenses are not renewed, the plants must go through a decontamination and decommissioning process.

Several US Nuclear Plants (Commercial and Government) have completed this process and several more have recently begun. When reliable materials, fabrications, services or spare parts are required, DuBose National Energy can supply your needs.

Department of Energy Cleanup Operations:

Throughout the United States there are several DOE sites that require decommissioning and radioactive waste cleanup. Some of these projects are from as far back as the 1940’s and as recently as the 1990’s.

Fuel processing plants, plutonium processing plants, weapons testing facilities, and other Department of Energy projects all require cleanup efforts to meet today’s environmental standards.

DuBose National Energy Services is currently assisting in several DOE projects with materials and services.
